Ringworm / Dermatophytosis in Rabbits

Despite its name, ringworm is not actually a worm. It is a fungal disease that classically causes a round area of hair loss and redness. It is because of these round or ringlike areas that it is called ringworm. There are several types of fungi that can cause ringworm. Rabbits typically get a variety called Trichophyton.
