Sarcoptes scabiei in Goats and Sheep

Starts in the face and ears and around the nostrils, then extends. Deep skin scrapings needed, and even then mites could be missed. Response to therapy is a diagnostic test. Pruritus is intense. May be secondary skin lesions due to the intensity of scratching.
